I’m a Certified Dubsado Specialist!
Until recently I worked in website and funnel design, and I started to notice a pattern in the reviews I was getting from clients. There was usually a comment from clients about how I had helped them with systems and software.
That got me thinking that maybe systems and automation are my real superpower, and there might be something that I could offer future clients to support them to build systems that are tailored to their business.
I decided to try it out with a few clients and see what I would learn from the experience.
I initially offered support with systems and automation without really picking a specific software. I could see that my experience as an engineer in project management and my more recent experience in online business, website & funnel design - all seemed to come together when helping clients with their systems.

I also realized that for many of my clients Dubsado was the right software to build systems that saved time and provided the client experience that they wanted. That allowed me to make the decision to focus solely on Dubsado setups and become a Dubsado expert.
So when Dubsado offered their certification for the first time in the fall of 2021, it was a no brainer.
What does a Dubsado certification involve?
The Dubsado certification has three steps:
Application & pre-assessment: to be eligible for the certification I had to fill out an application and pass a pre-assessment exam. Once I passed the pre-assessment exam, I had time to study for the final exam. Dubsado provided great Dubsado training materials and a webinar to help prepare those taking the exam.
Certification exam: I took the certification exam in October 2021 and got that wonderful email telling me I had passed.
Annual renewal exam: To keep my certification I have to pass an exam every year. Which is a great way of making sure that all Certified Dubsado Specialists are up to date with all the updates and improvements that Dubsado is continuously working on.

2023 Update
I took the Dubsado recertification test in January 2023. This years test was a hard one for all specialists, but I passed! 🎉
Having another year of experience working with clients from many different industries definitely prepared me for this years test.
This means that I continue to be a Certified Dubsado Specialist for the duration of 2023.
2024 Update
I took the Dubsado recertification test in January 2024 and passed 🎉 This years test was different, in that it wasn’t so much a test as a mock setup using a demo account.
The cool thing is that moving forward I only need to recertify every 18 months. Yay!
